THE OUTREACH

THE OUTREACH is a first-person movement shooter with no mechanical weapons. Instead, you wield telekinetic powers to manipulate objects in the environment and defeat hostile alien-built creatures through the depths of an irradiated planet. Centuries after the mysterious extinction of humanity, you are a part of the "Human Restoration Program," the final hope for the rebirth of mankind.

  • Role: Game Designer, Level Designer, Writer, Environment Artist (May 2022-Present)

  • Designed four levels from concept-greybox-completion

  • Tutorialized all game mechanics through controlled gameplay scenarios

  • Created a player progression/inventory-management system focused on promoting player freedom

  • Designed multi-faceted gameplay challenges that accommodate diverse player builds and encourage replayability

  • Wrote a storyline delivered through face-to-face dialogue and discoverable terminal entries

  • Devised accessible controls for controller and keyboard players

  • Assisted in the creation and maintenance of our GDD (Game Design Document)
